Activity/Artifact
- Mercy Corps virtual tutorials
Shortly after starting the SLIM program I began working as the Digital Library Assistant for Mercy Corps, an international humanitarian aid and development organization. In this position I help manage the organization’s digital library and virtual collaboration platforms, providing virtual information services to over 3500 employees in more than 35 countries. With such a far-flung userbase, most of my instruction and training activities are virtual as well. During my time at Mercy Corps I have developed the majority of the online help documentation and training material for Mercy Corps’s information resources, including a series of interactive multimedia tutorials walking users through using the systems. The example linked above shows the user how to create and edit documents on Clearspace, Mercy Corps’s collaboration and knowledge sharing platform.
